Start a Branch
Start a CARE chapter at your school.
28 chapters began the same way: one student who wanted to do something about cancer where they live. You need a school, a faculty advisor and a couple of friends. We handle the rest with you.
The application is a short Google Form. No commitment yet.

How it works
Four steps, usually a few weeks.
Tell us about your school
Fill in the short form: your name, school, city and why you want a chapter. One person is enough to start.
Talk with the chapters team
A board member gets back to you, answers questions and connects you with the nearest branch, or helps you start a new one.
Set up the club
Register the club with your school and find a faculty advisor.
Run your first event
Most chapters start with something simple: a card drive for a local hospital, a club-fair table or a Pink Out game.
What you'd actually do
A year in a chapter looks like this.
Real events chapters have run. Pick two or three for your first year.

Pink Out game
Partner with a sports team for one home game: ribbons, a banner and a short message at halftime.

Cards and letters
A lunch-period table where people write cards for patients at a nearby cancer center.

Flower or bracelet sale
A small fundraiser whose proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life team
Join your area's Relay with a CARE team, with the branch's other chapters.
Join your school's chapter
If your school is on the Branches page, find the chapter heads and ask to join. Chapters are always looking for members.
